Release
There is a sacred beauty found in letting go.
As part of the Becoming Series, Release is an invitation to loosen your grip on what was, surrender what was never yours to carry, and embrace the gift of being fully present. It honors the courage it takes to release old versions of yourself, unmet expectations, fear of the unknown, and the burdens that quietly weigh down the soul.
Butterflies drift throughout the composition as powerful symbols of spiritual transformation and rebirth. Emerging from the confines of the cocoon, they represent the journey of surrender—the willingness to trust that endings often make room for new beginnings. Spiritually, butterflies signify renewal, resurrection, hope, freedom, and the unfolding of one's true identity. They remind us that transformation is rarely instant, but through patience and grace, we are continually being made new.
Release speaks to the woman learning that healing doesn't always require striving. Sometimes, healing looks like exhaling. It looks like loosening clenched fists, quieting anxious thoughts, and trusting God enough to be present in the very moment He has given you.
There is freedom in no longer rehearsing the past.
There is peace in not fearing the future.
There is beauty in simply being here.
Through surrender, we discover that release is not loss—it's an act of faith. It is trusting that what God asks us to lay down can never compare to the freedom He longs to place within our hands.
